Dear Bethany Parents,
We have a successful week behind us. My staff, both new and seasoned, are doing a fantastic job and it is because of the support we are receiving from you, our parents. This past Sunday the entire staff, Preschool through eighth grade, was dedicated at Bethany Church. It was an amazing time to see the staff on stage representing Long Beach’s finest in education. We are grateful for the opportunity to fulfill our calling in Christian education. This year begins our 76th year and the best is yet to come.
PTF will host its first meeting at the annual Community Kick Off event on Friday, September 29th beginning at 5:30PM. This is a free event and ALL are invited. Bring a friend, your lawn chairs, and blankets while enjoying a free grilled burger or hot dog, chips and all the fixings. Please RSVP for your dinner, no later than Tuesday, September 26th at noon. Our newly appointed Student Council will sell drinks and snacks with all proceeds applied to the 2024 Disney Leadership Conference.
If your child wants to be a part of Student Council this year, please make sure they turn in their application by Wednesday, September 20th and attend the Student Council meeting at 3:30pm the same day. It is open to our 4th through 8th grade students only. More information is available in the school office.
Parents, you should have received a flier for the LA Clipper games. We are partnering again with them this school year. To purchase tickets, please come to the office, sign up and pay. Anyone can attend and all tickets are nonrefundable. (Lets go Warriors!)
Just a reminder, all students must be in uniform daily as we are a uniform school. Please take the time to review our uniform policy and appropriate Bethany school attire. If you have not already done so, check out our acceptable Bethany SWAG Wear that has approved Bethany clothing. In addition, don’t forget, every Thursday is spirit wear day.
For the next 6 Fridays, you can support our upcoming fundraiser The 2023 Color Run. You should have received a flier about lunches for purchase that will be delivered to our campus. All purchases must be made by Wednesday at noon. You have the option to purchase all 6 lunches at once. This week is Mc Donald’s. Preschool, you can participate as well.
As a reminder, please plan on getting to school early, for drop off and pick up, please drive slowly in front of the school, students and parents may be crossing the street. Pay attention to the rules of the road at the end of our frontage street. We have the stop sign, the cross traffic does not. Safety is one of our top priorities.
Lastly, the word for this year is RESPECT. We will take this school year to learn every facet of respect and partner it with God’s word. Please join us for Chapel, elementary and middle school, every Friday at 8:30am. Preschool families make sure to check your calendar for the special Fruit of the Spirit awards Chapel that you are able to attend on the preschool side.
