Letters From Tonia

Upcoming Registration

Dear Bethany Families,

This week begins the second week of e-learning for grades K-8th. (Preschool has continued nonstop.) I have checked in with the teachers and overall, the students are doing a great job; I would not expect anything less. Please feel free to reach out to me or your child’s teacher with any questions. We are here for you.

Last week a Letter Of Intent (LOI) was sent school wide regarding the upcoming summer and fall programs. The LOI helps me gage appropriate staffing for our summer camp and fall school year. If you have not already done so, please fill it out and return by Friday 29th. There are fun incentives for classrooms with 100% participation.

Registration forms will go out the week of February 1st  and there are early-bird registration specials for enrolled Bethany Families only. Pay attention to the deadlines for discounted registration as they will not be extended. Open registration for the public will take place towards the end of February. Spaces are limited. I am preparing Preview Days for Kindergarten, 1st through 5th and Middle School collectively. Dates and times for these events are forthcoming.

Parents, Bethany has proven to be the premier private school in Long Beach. My staff is second to none. Our curriculum maintains rigor and depth allowing each student to grow and thrive in excellence academically, socially and Spiritually. Each teacher provides differentiated instruction enabling students to master what is required for their grade level. More importantly we “see” into the heart of your child and we choose to nurture the God-given talent he/she has. We are a Future Focused campus and your child’s future success begins now.

As you prepare to have your child return to campus Monday, February 1st , please remember the following;

  • Fill out the daily COVID-19 screening form before your child arrives at school.  (This is for K-8th grades only)
  • Screen your child at home prior to dropping him/her off at school.
  • If your child displays any COVID-19 symptoms, keep him/her home.
  • Arrive at school on time between 8-8:15am.
  • Send your child’s lunch to school with him/her as well as supplies needed for the day.

Parents I am praying for you. You are to be honored for your fortitude during one of the most unusual times in our history. Remain positive and strong; you are here for such a time as this. My staff and I believe in you and we are praying for you. Remain encouraged and stay the course.

I want to leave you with my favorite verse…

Jeremiah 29:11

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”

Sincerely,

Mrs. Tonia Z. Hill, M.A.

Principal
