Letters From Tonia

The Color Run is Here!

“Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you.” Colossians 3:13 NIV

Hello Bethany Family,

It is again with joy I have the opportunity to share upcoming events taking place on our campus during the month of November.

It’s here! Our annual Color Run takes place Friday, November 5th. Each day during the first week of November all students get to wear an item from their Color Run gear to school (with their uniform of course). You should have received communication from your child’s teacher concerning what to wear each day as we lead up to our event filled day and information is in the bulletin.

We will begin Color Run day with a school wide Awards Chapel, preschool through 8th grade. Chapel will begin in the church at 8:30am and everyone is invited to attend.

After Chapel we will head outside to begin our Color Run festivities. A Color Run ‘run’ schedule went home last Friday.

PTF needs parent volunteers the day of this big event. Please go to the VOLUNTEER table and get plugged in. Parents, have you been able to help your child raise money for our fundraiser? We are asking each student to raise $300.00 or more. Every student who brings in $300.00 will receive a fun school ditch day (on campus) which will include a movie, Luau lunch, dance party, and fun activities all day.

Thank you in advance for your help and participation of our 2021 Color Run.

As of now, per the CDC if your holiday travels take you out of the country and you are vaccinated you are asked to get tested with a COVID-19 viral test 3-5 days after travel and self-monitor and you may return to school. If You Are NOT fully vaccinated we ask you to stay home and self-quarantine for a full 7 days after travel, even if you test negative at 3-5 days. If you do not get tested, stay home and self-quarantine for 10 days after travel. Please go to CDC for updated information, as this guidance is fluid and ever changing.

Regarding the mask mandate, I have not received any updated information effecting Bethany School. Please know I will keep you updated with any pertinent information.

Don’t forget to sign up for conferences being held November 8th, 9th and 10th. Conferences are a wonderful time to hear about your child’s academic and social progress. It is also a way to partner with your child’s teacher.

Have you attended a Bulldog sporting event? This week is our last week of Elementary Flag Football and Girls Basketball. Middle School Flag Football has two games this week and their final game next week. Kudos to our Athletic Director, Mr. Albert Dorsey and elementary girl’s basketball Coach Ms. Holley Schilling for the time and patience they have put in with the students. I trust to see you at a game this week.

Friday, November 19th at 10am is the annual Preschool Thanksgiving program. It will be held outside on the elementary playground. Everyone is welcome and you will be in for a treat.

Thank you for your continued support and for making Bethany your school of choice. Enjoy your families during the Thanksgiving break. We’ve so much to be thankful for.
