Amy Coffey is in her seventh year at Bethany and currently works as an administrative assistant and bookkeeper. She has over eleven years of experience in this field, has earned a BA, and holds a business software certification. She loves working with such an amazing team of leaders and educators.

Mrs. Coffey resides in Long Beach with her husband, Matt. She attends Bethany Church and enjoys swing dancing, traveling, and trying new food and recipes.

Angelica Hill is in her fourth year at Bethany School and is currently serving as a preschool aide. She has two years of experience as a preschool dance teacher and is currently enrolled in higher education to finish her degree encompassing nutrition and dietetics. She loves being around the children and helping them learn the fundamental information each child needs to learn, teaching them God’s word, and helping them become kind and loving individuals. 

Miss Angelica resides in Long Beach and attends Faithful Central Baptist Church. She enjoys time at church, reading, and spending time with friends.

Ariana De Pompa is in her eighth year at Bethany School and is currently serving as a preschool teacher in the orange room. She has over seven years of experience and is presently pursuing a BA. She loves being able to teach young children about God’s love.

Mrs. Ariana attends Cottonwood Church. She enjoys cooking new food, gardening, and finding great places to eat.

Arlene Gale is in her third year at Bethany School and is currently serving as our librarian. She has thirty-six years of experience teaching middle school language arts and has earned a Bachelor of Arts degree and holds a single subject teaching credential. She loves the staff and students at Bethany School!

Mrs. Arlene resides in Long Beach with her husband, Brent, and has two grown children, Kirk and Katie. She enjoys reading, volunteering, and meeting new people.

Azalie Adams is in her first year at Bethany School and is currently serving as a preschool aide. She has volunteered in the children’s ministry at her church for about 8 years and has worked during our summer program for two consecutive years. She has earned Early Education Credits as well as a Bachelors of Science in Health Sciences along with a minor in Family Studies. She loves when the students learn the Fruit of the Spirit song and use it to encourage one another to remember the behaviors that bring glory to God. She loves asking her students in the morning which Fruits of the Spirit they’ll be using that day! Being a Bethany alum, she’s grateful for the impact her teachers had on her growing up, and is so appreciative of the opportunity to similarly leave a lasting impression on her students as a current staff member.

Miss Aza resides in Cypress and attends Antioch Church of Long Beach. She enjoys spending time with friends, going to amusement parks, and working out.

Debbie Meng is in her twenty-second year at Bethany School and is currently serving as a preschool teacher in the yellow room. She has over twenty-one years of experience and has earned childhood education credits as well as her AA. She loves to work with children. Her heart is with the kids, about the kids, and she loves watching them learn academically, spiritually, emotionally, physically while achieving each feat. She loves watching the excitement in their little faces as they reach a new milestone.

Mrs. Debbie resides in Signal Hill with her husband, Mark, and has two sons, a daughter-in-law, and two grandchildren. She attends Cottonwood Church and enjoys exercising, spending time with her grandkids and, of course, shopping for her grandkids.

Gina Martinez is in her fourteenth year at Bethany School and is currently the preschool director. She has over twenty-two years of teaching experience, has earned a BS in both child development and psychology and a Master of Library and Information Science degree (MLIS). She loves that it is a true family working unto the Lord at Bethany.

Mrs. Gina enjoys reading, camping, walks and hikes.

Grace Oparah is in her twenty-eighth year at Bethany School and is currently serving as a pre-k teacher. She has twenty-seven years of experience in the field and has earned a Bachelor of Science degree as well as early childhood education credits. She loves the ability and freedom to teach children through God’s word, so that they can believe, achieve, and succeed.

Mrs. Oparah resides in Long Beach and has four grown children and three grandchildren. She enjoys going to the movies, visiting families, and relaxing at home.

Heather Estes is in her fifth year at Bethany School and is currently serving as a pre-k teacher in the red room. She has over eleven years of experience in education and has earned a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies as well as a multiple subject teaching credential. She loves that the staff and teachers are so invested – with the students, the families, and each other. She believes Bethany is a special place for her and her family.

Mrs. Estes resides in Bellflower with her husband, Patrick. Together they have twin boys, Charlie and Jacob. She attends Bethany Church and enjoys being outdoors (camping, at the beach, in the mountains, at the park), traveling, singing, dancing, and eating yummy food.

Heather Nesbit is in her fourteenth year at Bethany School and is currently serving as a pre-k teacher in the purple room. She has fourteen years of teaching experience and has earned early childhood education credits. She loves that as a Christian teacher at Bethany, she gets to do more than just inspire her students to love academics. She also gets to make a real and lasting impact in their hearts and lives. She strives to help them grow in character and wisdom and experience the greatest joy when Christ works directly in their hearts.

Mrs. Heather resides in Cypress with her husband and three daughters. She attends Cypress Neighborhood Church and enjoys shopping, organizing, and staying home.

Leslie Murphy is in her eighteenth year at Bethany School and is currently serving as a preschool aide. She has over eighteen years of experience and has earned early childhood education credits. She loves having the opportunity to not only plant the seed of God’s word in each child’s heart, but then getting to continue watering and seeing them grow. Seeing them develop spiritually, physically and academically is such a wonderful blessing. 

Mrs. Leslie attends Cottonwood Church and enjoys shopping, organizing, and staying home.

Natalie Robideaux is in her fifteenth year at Bethany School and is currently a pre-k teacher in the blue room as well as our assistant preschool director. She has over nineteen years of experience and has earned Early Childhood Education Credits as well as a BS. She loves being able to serve families in our community through the ministry that is Bethany School. Bethany is a place filled with joy, love, and encouragement. Seeing students come to know Jesus at such a young age and watching them grow in their faith over the years, overcome challenges, find their own passion, and continue on their journey is so rewarding. Being a small part of the journey in their early years has been a joy to watch. 

Mrs. Robideaux resides in Long Beach with her husband and two children. She attends Cornerstone Church, and enjoys family time, gardening, and photography.

Renee’ Mmeje is in her first year at Bethany School and is currently serving as a preschool aide. She has over five years of experience and has earned a BA and Masters. She enjoys the loving and caring environment that she experiences as a parent with a child enrolled at Bethany, and looks forward to giving the same feeling and support she has received to the children and their parents.

Mrs. Renee’ resides in Long Beach with her husband and four children (three girls and one boy) and attends Faithful Central Bible Church in Inglewood. She enjoys Hiking, swimming, and Xtreme step aerobics.

Sheila Chubbs is in her thirteenth year at Bethany School and is currently a preschool teacher in the green room. She has over twenty-two years of experience and has earned Early Childhood Education Credits. She loves being able to talk about God everyday.

Mrs. Sheila resides in Bellflower and has three grown children. She enjoys journaling, writing, and reading.

Taya Gomez is in her ninth year at Bethany School and is currently serving as a pre-k aide. She has over twelve years of experience and has earned early childhood education credits along with a BA. She loves watching Bethany students grow not only academically but spiritually. She believes that being able to share Jesus’ love with our students is something truly special, and that we are able to reach many families through our classrooms. 

Mrs. Taya is married with four children and attends Bethany Church.

Tracee Kersey is in her seventh year at Bethany School and is currently serving as a preschool aide. She has over twenty-one years of experience in education and has earned early childhood education credits. She loves working at a Christian school with the kids, parents and teachers. She says they are like a family.

Miss Tracee resides in Long Beach with her husband, Tim, and they have two children, Aiden and Makayla. She attends Calvary Chapel Downey and enjoys eating out and hanging out with friends.
