Al Dorsey is in his tenth year teaching at Bethany School and is currently the PE Teacher and Athletic Director. He has over seventeen years of experience and has earned a BA and MA. He enjoys the love that the teachers have for the kids at Bethany.

Mr. Dorsey resides in Long Beach with his wife, Charmaine, and children, Isaiah and Savannah. He attends Bethany Church and enjoys watching sports, playing basketball, and working out.

Amy Coffey is in her seventh year at Bethany and currently works as an administrative assistant and bookkeeper. She has over eleven years of experience in this field, has earned a BA, and holds a business software certification. She loves working with such an amazing team of leaders and educators.

Mrs. Coffey resides in Long Beach with her husband, Matt. She attends Bethany Church and enjoys swing dancing, traveling, and trying new food and recipes.

Philippians 4:6-7 (NIV) Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Amy Zahariades is in her tenth year teaching at Bethany School and is currently the middle school science teacher. She has over twenty-four years of teaching experience, has earned a BS in Biochemistry with a minor in Bible, and holds a multiple subject teaching credential. She loves the amazing students, parents, and staff at Bethany. She believes we care for each other like a family and always look out for the best interest of others. Students receive a strong Biblical and academic foundation at Bethany while having fun through social events and activities.

Mrs. Zahariades resides in Cypress with her husband, Damon. She attends Cornerstone Church, and enjoys going to the El Dorado dog park with Rocky, her Havanese. She also enjoys going out to dinner with her husband and having game nights with friends.

Arlene Gale is in her third year at Bethany School and is currently serving as our librarian. She has thirty-six years of experience teaching middle school language arts and has earned a Bachelor of Arts degree and holds a single subject teaching credential. She loves the staff and students at Bethany School!

Mrs. Arlene resides in Long Beach with her husband, Brent, and has two grown children, Kirk and Katie. She enjoys reading, volunteering, and meeting new people.

Dana Stewart is in her third year at Bethany School. She is currently our Technology Coordinator and is overseeing middle school electives. She has five years of teaching experience, has earned a BA in International Affairs and a MA in Middle East Studies. She loves that Bethany is like a family, and that we love these kids like they are our own. She loves that teachers and staff treat students like real, whole people, not just a body in a seat or a cog in a machine. As a Christian school, she can truly care for and teach students’ minds, bodies, hearts, and souls. She feels that it is so encouraging to work in an environment that is grounded in Scripture. 

Mrs. Stewart resides in Long Beach with her husband, Tim and their four children. She attends Portico Church and enjoys baking, crafting, and reading.

Kacie Cobb is in her first year at Bethany School and is currently an assistant to our Bethany’s B.E.S.T Program. She has over three years of experience in the educational field and has earned a BA in Communication Public Affairs as well as a minor in Psychology. She loves all the wonderful students and staff and feels that there is a great sense of community. She couldn’t be more blessed to be a part of Bethany.

Ms. Cobb attends Free Chapel Orange County.

Lauren Whygle is in her eighth year teaching at Bethany School and is currently teaching Middle School math. She has over fifteen years of teaching experience, has earned a BA and MA, and holds a multiple subject teaching credential. She loves the close community and loving staff at Bethany.

Mrs. Whygle resides in Westminster with her husband, Paul, and children, Emily and Eli. She attend First Christian Church of Huntington Beach and enjoys traveling, crafting, and spending time with her friends and family.

Megan Koet is in her eighth year at Bethany School. She is currently serving as an instructional aide and is a part of the day care staff. She has over nine years of experience and has earned her AA. She loves that at Bethany we are truly a family. 

Mrs. Koet resides in Long Beach with her husband, Charnold, and three children, Taylor, Makenzie, and Harper. She attends Bethany Church and enjoys watching her children doing the activities they love, reading, and going on dates with her husband.

Michelle Veazey is in her fourth year at Bethany School and is currently our education specialist. She has over thirty years of experience in the field of education and has worked in early education for twenty years as a preschool teacher and preschool director. She has earned early education credits and holds a Bachelor of Arts as well as a Master of Arts. She loves working in a faith-filled environment with staff that love the Lord, have a passion to help students be the best they can, work hard, and are fun to work with at Bethany.

Mrs. Veazey resides in Lakewood with her husband, Peter, and children Shawn, Brett, and Brooke. She attends Bethany Church, and enjoys working out, going to the movies, and reading.

Pamela Armstead is in her eighth year at Bethany School and is currently the daycare supervisor and an instructional aide for first grade. She has over eight years of experience and has earned an AA. She is a recent graduate of California Baptist University and has earned her BA in English. She loves the family atmosphere at Bethany. She believes that the staff genuinely love the students. She loves that we are not only able to live godly openly, but are able to share Christ with the students and parents. 

Mrs. Pam resides in Sylmar with her husband, Michael, and two children. She enjoys singing and writing.

Rory Slater is in her first year at Bethany School and is currently a middle school language arts and performing arts teacher. She has over five years of teaching experience and holds a Bachelor of Arts as well as a Master of Arts. She loves how everyone cares for and encourages one another at Bethany.

Ms. Slater resides in Long Beach with her two children. She attends The Warehouse Foursquare Church, and enjoys singing, acting/directing, and reading.

Philippians 2:3-4 (NIV) Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others.

Stan Picas is in his third year at Bethany School and is currently serving as an instructional aide for kindergarten and is part of the day care staff. He has five years of experience in the field and loves being able to share the love of Christ with the kids and see the great education they are getting.

Mr. Picas resides in Long Beach with his wife, Marlene, and together they have one child. He attends Calvary Chapel Signal Hill and enjoys going to the gym, paddle boarding, and action figure collecting.

Tim Stewart is in his seventh year teaching at Bethany School and is currently teaching Middle School history, Bible, and digital media literacy. He has over nine years of secondary school teaching, has earned a BA in history and Master’s in education, and holds a single subject teaching credential. He loves the camaraderie that Bethany School provides.

Mr. Stewart resides in Long Beach with his wife, Dana, and their four children. He attends Portico Church and enjoys cooking, strategy board games/war games, and traveling.
