Azalie Adams is in her first year at Bethany School and is currently serving as a preschool aide. She has volunteered in the children’s ministry at her church for about 8 years and has worked during our summer program for two consecutive years. She has earned Early Education Credits as well as a Bachelors of Science in Health Sciences along with a minor in Family Studies. She loves when the students learn the Fruit of the Spirit song and use it to encourage one another to remember the behaviors that bring glory to God. She loves asking her students in the morning which Fruits of the Spirit they’ll be using that day! Being a Bethany alum, she’s grateful for the impact her teachers had on her growing up, and is so appreciative of the opportunity to similarly leave a lasting impression on her students as a current staff member.

Dana Stewart is in her third year at Bethany School. She is currently our Technology Coordinator and is overseeing middle school electives. She has five years of teaching experience, has earned a BA in International Affairs and a MA in Middle East Studies. She loves that Bethany is like a family, and that we love these kids like they are our own. She loves that teachers and staff treat students like real, whole people, not just a body in a seat or a cog in a machine. As a Christian school, she can truly care for and teach students’ minds, bodies, hearts, and souls. She feels that it is so encouraging to work in an environment that is grounded in Scripture.

She loves being able to serve families in our community through the ministry that is Bethany School. Bethany is a place filled with joy, love, and encouragement. Seeing students come to know Jesus at such a young age and watching them grow in their faith over the years, overcome challenges, find their own passion, and continue on their journey is so rewarding. Stacy Aldredge is in her ninth year at Bethany School and is currently a second grade teacher. She has twelve years of experience, has earned her BA, and holds a multiple subject teaching credential. She loves working at Bethany School because the entire staff’s focus is to develop students into becoming not only academic achievers but also guiding them spiritually.
Stacy resides in Lakewood with her daughter, Mikeala. She attends Prevailing in Christ Ministries and enjoys reading, watching movies, and spending time with her daughter.

Stan Picas is in his third year at Bethany School and is currently serving as an instructional aide for kindergarten and is part of the day care staff. He has five years of experience in the field and loves being able to share the love of Christ with the kids and see the great education they are getting.
Mr. Picas resides in Long Beach with his wife, Marlene, and together they have one child. He attends Calvary Chapel Signal Hill and enjoys going to the gym, paddle boarding, and action figure collecting.

Taya Gomez is in her ninth year at Bethany School and is currently serving as a pre-k aide. She has over twelve years of experience and has earned early childhood education credits along with a BA. She loves watching Bethany students grow not only academically but spiritually. She believes that being able to share Jesus’ love with our students is something truly special, and that we are able to reach many families through our classrooms.
Mrs. Taya is married with four children and attends Bethany Church.

Tim Stewart is in his seventh year teaching at Bethany School and is currently teaching Middle School history, Bible, and digital media literacy. He has over nine years of secondary school teaching, has earned a BA in history and Master’s in education, and holds a single subject teaching credential. He loves the camaraderie that Bethany School provides.
Mr. Stewart resides in Long Beach with his wife, Dana, and their four children. He attends Portico Church and enjoys cooking, strategy board games/war games, and traveling.

She has over seventeen years of administrative experience, has earned her MA which includes a specialization in early childhood education, and is a certified adjunct professor. She loves supporting the teachers and making a difference in the lives of the students.
Mrs. Hill resides in Long Beach with her husband, and has three adult children. She enjoys writing and trying new restaurants as well as walking, hiking, and exercising.
