Letters From Tonia

October is here!

Hello Bethany Families,

Can you believe September is gone and fall is upon us? The Community Kick Off was so much fun. Mrs. Golden and the Long Beach Community Band did an outstanding job. Kudos to our new PTF President, Mrs. Natalie Robideaux for an enjoyable evening. Speaking of PTF, our annual Color Run is well underway. There are huge prizes and incentives to participate. More than anything all monies received go directly into our campus for improvements and student services. We are asking for corporate sponsors as well. Corporate sponsors are eligible to have a banner placed on the Los Coyotes Blvd. fence of our campus.

October is a busy month. Yearbook pictures were taken earlier this week for students K-8 and next week preschool will take their pictures. Coming up quickly is Parents Night Out on Friday, October 11th from 6-9pm. This is a PTF event where you, the parents, get to have a nice night on the town or hang out with friends while Bethany School’s staff plans a great evening of fun with your child. Dinner is included. Sign-ups are in the front office.

This year we have partnered with the Clippers again for 4 fun filled game nights! Come enjoy some Bethany Community time at the Clippers brand NEW Intuit Dome! Sign up for one (or all!) of the games in the front office to reserve your tickets. The first game is coming up on October 17th vs the Sacramento Kings!

We will be celebrating being ‘drug free’ during Red Ribbon Week, Monday 21st through 25th. This is a school wide event. Below is what the students get to wear to show they are drug free.

Just a few more items to highlight on your calendar. Preschool will head out to Tanaka Farms dressed in their Bethany Blue Polo for a fun filled day Wednesday, October 30th. Please see your child’s preschool teacher for more information on how to join in on the fun. Thursday, October 31st all students will have fall parties in their classrooms and Mrs. Beck will have fun sweet treats for the students to create. Again, Friday, November 1st is the Color Run and all students must be picked up by 1:00pm. If you have any questions, please visit Blackbaud for more information, or simply call the office. We are here to help.

Parents, the students are transitioning into a routine and into the expectation of their teachers as well as Bethany School standards. We rely on you to partner with us for the success of your child. We are going to hold your child accountable academically and socially because they are capable. They are my leaders.

It’s a great day to be a Bulldog!

Sincerely,

Mrs. Tonia Hill
