Hello Bethany Family,
Summer is quickly approaching and we have exactly 8 weeks of school left. Can you believe it? There is still much to do to finish out the year.
Did you know Bethany Church is now offering in-person service? You have the option to attend the 9am service, 10:45am service or you can live stream the 9am service. Children’s Church is available as well.
To kick off May, our middle school students will attend a weeklong mission trip the first week of May called Gleanings For The Hungry. They will mix, packet, and prepare dried items for soup and other foods to be shipped to missionaries around the world. They will load the items on trucks and pray for the drivers. It is a lot of work, but the students love it and we make sure they have a bit of fun in between. Please pray for the students, staff and for safe travels as our students take this opportunity to serve others.
National Day of Prayer is Thursday, May 6th. Our student council will lead our school in prayer at 8:45am on the school playground. Parents you are more than welcome to come on campus and join us on this special day.
Teacher Appreciation Week is coming up. Preschool is May 3rd -7th and K through 8th May 10th-14th. Please help celebrate the entire staff as we show our appreciation by loving on them all week long. They are so worthy.
Bethany will host its annual Open House Thursday, May 27th. Daycare will end at 5pm on this day, preschool through 8th grade. Screening to come on campus will begin at 5:30pm. Parents my staff and I are excited to have you on campus perusing through the classrooms and admiring the accomplishments of your child. We will have vendors on site displaying extracurricular activities for the upcoming school year and more. Detailed information will be sent next month soon.
SPOILER ALERT: I just met with my Summer Fun Team to finalize plans for this year’s summer program. All I can say is “EXTREME!” The summer program is opened for students Preschool through 8th grade. Our middle school students will serve as Summer Program Counselors and there will be special perks for them. We are filling up fast, enrollment has already exceeded last year.
Did you know Bethany SCRIP gift cards prices have been discounted? For example, AMC is normally $10 you can purchase a card for $7. Applebee’s is normally $25 you can purchase a card for $18. Landry’s is normally $50 you can purchase a card for $36. WHAT A BARGAIN! Stop by the front office to see the latest discounts and purchase a gift card for your child’s teacher. It’s a win-win for you and the school.
