Letters From Tonia

March Updates

“Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” Hebrews 11:1

Hello Bethany Family,

The light at the end of the tunnel is flickering a bit brighter. In the midst of all that has happened this school year we continue to have hope. We are in the middle of March and making great strides. The students are progressing academically, but it’s so much more than that. They are continuing to learn about themselves – their gifts, talents, strengths, as well as areas of challenge. Each student is “fearfully and wonderfully made”. The staff and I are grateful to be a part of their lives and to have the opportunity to pour into each of them academically, socially and of course Spiritually. Parents there are great opportunities to get plugged in this week at Bethany.

This Friday is Dad’s Donut Day beginning at 8am. Please park your cars, walk to the gate to get screened and enter onto campus for a ‘photo opp’ with your child and enjoy delish donuts.

This Sunday, March 21st is Bethany School at Church Sunday. Pastor Jeff Levine has an encouraging message for each of you and childcare will be available for the children. You have the option to attend the livestream service at 9am or you can physically attend the socially distance 10:45am service in the courtyard. I will be there! Please come and enjoy the praise team and hear an encouraging word from our Senior Pastor. There will also be a canned food “drive-through drop off” this Sunday for the Long Beach Rescue Mission beginning at 1pm. I look forward to seeing all the Dads this Friday and I look forward to seeing YOU and your family this Sunday at church.

Lastly, due to recent changes with the Los Angeles Department of Public Health if you have plans to travel out of state for spring break you must self impose a 10 day quarantine.  This may change prior to spring break due to the decrease in numbers.  If there are any changes, as usual I will update you immediately.

God’s Blessings,
Mrs. Tonia Z. Hill
Principal
