Dear Bethany Families,
“…give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.”
1 Thessalonians 5:18 NIV
It is November and we have quite a bit to be thankful for. I am thankful to partner with you as we educate our next generation of leaders. Each student has a plan and purpose for their lives. Over the next few days, you have an opportunity to meet with your child’s teacher to connect and see how your child is thriving academically, socially and Spiritually. Your child’s teacher might also discuss areas of challenge and how we can implement tools for the remainder of the year. It takes a team! If you have not already signed up, it’s not too late. Schedule an appointment today. K-5 Parent/Teacher Conference or Middle School Parent/Teacher Conference
Color Run was amazing! Thank you for coming out last Friday and cheering the students on as we raise money for the improvement of our campus. Lots of colors, smiles and hot dogs made for a fun PTF event. A big thanks to Mrs. Natalie Robideaux, our PTF President and a big shout out to Mr. & Mrs. Hege; if you know, you know. Parents, you have until Wednesday, November 12th to make a final donation for our school and to win prizes. We can’t wait to share the final results with you and where the money will be applied. (Remember we are a non-profit organization. Please see Mrs. Amy Coffey in the front office for more information regarding your donation.)
At Chapel this Friday, PTF is prepared to honor our Grandparents and our Veterans. Beginning at 8am we will have fun treats and photo opportunities for our loved ones. Chapel will begin at 8:30am with praising and celebrating the wisdom of our grandparents and the sacrifices of our Veterans. I look forward to seeing you there. Parents, don’t forget Tuesday, November 11th our campus will be closed in honor of Veteran’s Day.
Bethany School is prepared for a month of service. Be on the lookout this week for a flyer on different ways to give this season. Whether it is the canned food drive, toy drive or the clothing drive, there are many ways to help those in our community this season! Are you familiar with ‘Gleanings For The Hungry’? 6th and 7th grade students will head out to Dinuba, California, to give a week of their time through service. While they are away, our 8th grade students will take a day to serve at the Long Beach Rescue Mission. Please pray for the safety of the students, parents and staff attending. Pray also God would give them a deeper understanding of service, community and humility.
November would not be complete without Preschool’s Thanksgiving Program. Friday, November 21st, beginning at 10:30am, our little Bulldogs will pull out all the stops to get us in the spirit of Thanksgiving. From turkeys to pumpkins, preschool kiddos will sing, dance and recite verses, giving meaning to being thankful. Kudos to Mrs. Gina, Mrs. Natalie, and the preschool staff! They are truly amazing and quite patient.
It’s going to be a quick month. Let’s recap important dates below:
- 11/03 & 11/04 Parent/Teacher Conferences
- 11/07 Grandparents & Veteran’s Day Chapel
- 11/12 All Color Run donations are due today

During this holiday season, make the time to be thankful and grateful. Make the time to give and be a blessing to others. Make the time to thank God for His goodness and unmerited faithfulness.
It’s a great day to be a Bulldog.
