End of Year Events You Won’t Want to Miss!

Hello Bethany Families,

Our school year is coming to a swift close. I am grateful for God’s hand of protection over our campus this year. Please read below and mark your calendar as we end the school year with fun and tradition.

“We’ve Got Talent!”
Show time is next Friday, May 20th at 6pm. Mrs. Francis and the Student Council are hosting a talent show taking place in the church. Come support our students as they showcase their wonderful gifts and make a joyful noise.

Bulldog Sports Banquet
May 26th at 6pm, Mr. Dorsey our Athletic Director, is hosting the annual Sports Banquet. We will have a fun time acknowledging the students, their athleticism and accomplishments this past season.

Bethany Gala of the Arts
Pastor Keith and Doris Henthorn
These names might not sound familiar to you but both of these pioneers were the founders of Bethany’s music department. I want to honor and continue their legacy. Monday, June 6th beginning at 6:00pm we will start with some music and appetizers as we gather to celebrate Bethany School hosting its first annual Doris Henthorn Arts Gala. The purpose of the Gala will not only highlight the talents of our students as they perform, but will raise money to go towards our growing music department. The Gala will include the following:
•Winds & Strings Orchestra
•Bethany’s Music Department
•American Sign Language Club
•Spanish Club
•Middle School Art Exhibit
•Auctions, Raffles and more…
This event is formal, and I personally look forward to seeing you all there.

The End of the Road
Saturday, June 11th at 9am, our Pre-K students will graduate. Thursday, June 16th at 9am, our 8th grade students will graduate.
Both events will be held in the church. I am praying for all of the graduates and the calling God has on their lives.

CAR-NI-VAL
In keeping with tradition, PTF is planning and preparing its annual Carnival. Wednesday, June 15th from 10-2:30pm students, staff, family, alumni, and friends will be able to end the year with rides, games, food and fun. Come climb the rock wall or be daring and get dunked in the Dunk Tank! Volunteers are needed. Please sign up if you can participate. I cannot wait!

These Boots Were Made For Walking…
Mrs. Kristen Huff, Bethany’s Education Specialist and Lead Opportunity Teacher, is moving to Texas with her family. We are going to miss her and her contributions to Bethany School and students. As we send her off with well wishes, please welcome back Mrs. Michelle Veazey who will transition into the position of Opportunity Teacher. (A letter from Mrs. Huff)

Parents I cannot say it enough, “THANK YOU!” for making Bethany your school of choice. I look forward to seeing you at the above events.

Sincerely,
Mrs. Tonia Hill
Principal
