Dear Bethany Families,
It is April, which signifies we successfully made it through March. The month of April brings new
growth and new beginnings both of which we can benefit from. I enjoy this time of year because it gives
us a moment to quiet ourselves and watch God’s transformation right before our eyes. The
transformation of winter trees filled with green leaves, flowers blooming, longer days, and the amazing
growth of your children. April cleanses our hurried days with unexpected showers, showers for growth
and opportunities.
This month there is an opportunity to help children less fortunate through the Long Beach Rescue
Mission. Each year Bethany Church partners with the LBRM to collect prefilled Easter baskets to give
to students at Roosevelt Elementary. If you are able to donate, we need all baskets by this Monday,
April 3rd. (Restrictions: No sharp objects, no nuts, no weapon-like toys, and no homemade treats.)
This month we get to celebrate the gifts and talents of our students as they celebrate the fruition of our
faith. The resurrection of our Lord and Savior is here! Preschool will put on a superb Spring Sing and
4th through 8th grade will take us into spring break with a lively chapel performance. Both programs are
a “must see” and parents you are welcomed to join us.
Please save the dates below.

I am so grateful you committed this year to make Bethany School your school of choice. Can you
believe Bethany will celebrate 75 years of Christian education in the community beginning this fall?
What a testimony to God’s sovereignty over this campus. The vision of competitive quality Christian
education to produce leaders in the community and beyond continues. I trust your child will remain a
part of this rich vision that was planted 75 years ago and continues to impact generations.
“…being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the
day of Christ Jesus.” Philippians 1:6 NIV
Sincerely,
Tonia Z. Hill
