Hello Bethany Family,

The past month has been marked by a range of emotions, from profound joy to profound sorrow. It began at the beginning of March with the fifth graders embarking on a memorable Grand Canyon tour. Upon my return, we diligently finalized and prepared for the anticipated accreditation and self-study with the WASC committee. The accreditation committee visited our campus throughout the week, and the exceptional work of Bethany staff, students, and parents was evident. Our exemplary performance showcased the true essence of Bethany School’s ministry.

Following this, I departed with our future leaders, the eighth graders, on an enriching East Coast tour. We had an amazing time unpacking the richness of our US government; both good and bad. Before my return, I was informed of the passing of Miss Gina. Although I was aware of her illness, I had anticipated seeing her once more. Sadly, I was not. The same week of her passing, the preschool teachers diligently carried out the tasks entrusted to them by Ms. Gina, and our young preschool students performed with unwavering enthusiasm at the annual Spring Sing. It was a truly uplifting experience. Her presence was felt through every song.

While there were other unexpected events, my staff and I remain steadfast in our commitment to the best interests of every student at Bethany School. Despite the challenges we have faced, it does not even compare to the week Jesus faced before willingly laying down His life. I find solace in the unwavering hope that our Lord and Savior experienced before His crucifixion. He too had a divine mission to fulfill and remained resolute in the face of any obstacle. By taking on our burdens, He empowers us to endure the challenges that lie ahead.

Navigating life’s challenges becomes significantly easier when we hold onto the unwavering hope of a brighter future. The light of Christ’s love has been my guide during this difficult time. I am also strengthened by the kind words, gestures, and prayers of you, the parents. You know who you are.

I extend my heartfelt prayers that during the upcoming spring break, you will find peace by entrusting your cares and concerns to Christ through your tears, prayers, and smiles. Easter, a celebration of Christ’s resurrection, will be observed on Sunday. May God’s love for us be an eternal relationship we get to relish daily.
